Pan-European FBA

Amazon's program that places your inventory in several EU countries so all EU marketplaces get local delivery at local fees.

Definition

With Pan-EU, you ship to one EU fulfilment centre and Amazon moves stock to the countries where it sells, enabling Prime delivery on Amazon.de, .fr, .it, .es, .nl, .pl, .se and .be at the local fulfilment fee instead of cross-border rates. Requirements: active offers on the participating marketplaces and VAT registration in each country where Amazon stores your goods.

The alternative, the European Fulfilment Network (EFN), ships cross-border from one country at higher per-unit fees but with fewer VAT registrations. Many brands start with EFN from Germany and move to Pan-EU once volume justifies the compliance work.

How we use it

We model Pan-EU against EFN per marketplace with your tax adviser and switch when the fee savings exceed the compliance cost.

Do I need VAT registrations in every Pan-EU country?

In every country where Amazon stores your inventory, yes. Amazon's VAT services and partners handle the filings, but the registrations are yours.
