How to read the result
- 1Break-even ACoS is the margin before advertising as a share of price. At this ACoS a paid sale earns nothing.
- 2A realistic target for a mature product is about half the break-even, so that contribution margin remains after advertising. Launches may run higher for a limited time.
- 3Compare the target with the ACoS in your campaign manager per product, not account-wide. Products above target need listing or bid work; products far below can usually take more spend.

FAQ
Which Amazon fees should I include?
Referral fee (usually 8 to 15 percent of price) and the FBA fulfilment fee at minimum. For a precise figure add storage, returns and inbound shipping per unit.
What is the difference between ACoS and TACoS?
ACoS divides ad spend by ad-attributed sales; TACoS divides it by total sales including organic. ACoS is for campaign decisions, TACoS for business health.
Why does the calculator show a target below break-even?
Because break-even leaves no profit. We set targets so that each paid sale still contributes margin, typically at half the break-even for mature products.
