What does an Amazon agency cost? Pricing models compared

Flat fee, percentage of ad spend, percentage of sales or performance-based: what each Amazon agency pricing model costs, who it rewards and which one to choose.

Amazon agencies price in four ways. The model matters more than the number, because each one rewards different behaviour from the agency. Here is what we see in the market in 2026 and how to read a quote.

1. Percentage of ad spend

The most common model: 10 to 20% of monthly ad spend, often with a minimum of 1,500 to 3,000 € or $. Cheap to start when spend is low.

The problem is the incentive. The agency earns more when you spend more, regardless of whether the spend is profitable. An account at 40% ACoS pays the agency more than the same account at 20% ACoS. Agencies on this model are rarely in a hurry to cut waste.

2. Flat monthly fee

A fixed retainer, typically 2,000 to 8,000 € per month depending on marketplaces, number of ASINs and scope (PPC only versus full account management). This is the model we use.

The incentive is neutral: the agency is paid for the work and judged on results. The risk is scope creep on both sides, so a clear scope document matters.

3. Percentage of sales

Three to eight percent of total Amazon sales, sometimes with a base fee. Common for full-service account management where the agency controls listings, pricing and advertising together.

It aligns the agency with revenue growth, but not with profit. An agency can grow sales with heavy discounting and advertising and still earn its percentage while your margin disappears.

4. Performance-based

A share of incremental profit or a bonus for hitting ACoS or TACoS targets, usually on top of a reduced base fee. Attractive on paper; hard to measure fairly. Seasonality, stock-outs, pricing changes and competitor moves all affect the numbers, and most disputes come from attribution.

What the number includes

Compare quotes on scope, not on price. Ask whether these are included:

  • Campaign restructuring at the start, or only ongoing management
  • Listing copy, images and A+ Content
  • Marketplaces beyond the first one, and in which languages
  • Brand protection and case management
  • Reporting cadence and who you talk to

A 2,500 € quote for PPC only can cost more per month than a 4,000 € quote that includes listings and three marketplaces.

What we charge

Flat monthly fee, scoped per account, month to month. Advertising budgets stay in your Amazon account under your login. After the free potential analysis you receive a scope and a fixed price. If we think advertising is not your biggest lever, we say so and quote listing work instead.
