Amazon DSP

Amazon's programmatic buying platform for display, video and audio ads, powered by Amazon's first-party shopping signals.

Definition

The DSP is available to advertisers with or without products on Amazon, managed by Amazon or through an agency seat. It reaches shoppers on Amazon, Fire TV, Twitch, IMDb and across the open web, with audiences built from browsing and purchase behaviour that no other platform has.

Entry budgets are higher than self-service ads (agency seats typically start in the low thousands per month). It makes sense for brands that need frequency control, reach beyond Amazon, or audiences such as competitor purchasers and lapsed buyers that Sponsored Display cannot build.

How we use it

We run DSP for brands past roughly 5,000 € monthly display budget, measured on new-to-brand sales and halo rather than last-click ROAS.

Do I need to sell on Amazon to use the DSP?

No. The DSP can drive traffic to your own site using Amazon audiences. For sellers, it typically works best alongside search campaigns.
