Sponsored Display

Self-service display ads on and off Amazon, targeted by product, audience or past shopping behaviour.

Definition

Sponsored Display shows image or video ads on Amazon product pages, in the shopping feed and on third-party sites and apps. Targeting options: products and categories (like Sponsored Products), views remarketing (shoppers who viewed your or similar products), purchases remarketing and Amazon audiences (in-market, lifestyle).

It is the entry point to retargeting for brands below the Amazon DSP budget threshold, with no minimum spend and a cost-per-click or cost-per-thousand-impressions model. ROAS is typically lower than search ads because it works higher in the funnel.

How we use it

Views remarketing with a 30-day window is in nearly every account we run; it recovers shoppers who compared and left at a low cost per order.
